Kana and Shea

Kana and Shea

Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To see more animals available for adoption, visit www.petango.com/beaufortcountyNC or call 252-946-4517 for more information.

During the month of June cats and kittens, at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, will have an adoption fee of $25. This fee includes spaying/neutering, the first round of shots, a microchip and worming for each feline adopted. This is a reduced fee with the remainder paid by the Humane Society of Beaufort County.

Shea

Meet Shea, our 2-year-old male, white, longhair cat. Handsome, gentle, affectionate with big azure blue eyes to melt your heart, are words that just begin to describe this outstanding cat. He purrs with joy when held and rolls on his back when brushed. Shea lost his home and is waiting for that special someone or family to give him love and care forever. He is a wonderful cat who will do well with children, too.

Kana

Say hi to Kana, a 3-month-old female, Boxer-Shepherd mix puppy. The black and white markings on her beautiful face emphasize her gentle, friendly and attentive disposition. Her coat is very short, tan and white, and her tail is tan with a tiny white tip. Sweet Kana loves tummy rubs, play and attention. She will make a great addition to a good forever home, full of love and a nice yard.
