Hannah Marie Zachman, daughter of Mr.and Mrs. William M. Zachman, Jr. was named Valedictorian at the Commencement Exercises of Forest Park High School of Prince William County Virginia. The Commencement Exercises were on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at George Mason University Basketball Arena in Fairfax County, Va.

The class of 2013 graduated some 550 students at the commencement exercises.

Miss Zachman received a US Navy ROTC Scholarship to the University of Virginia at the Forest Park High School Senior Recognition Exercises on Friday, June 7, 2013. She will study the Nursing curriculum at UVA this fall of 2013.

Miss Zachman also received Departmental Awards in Foreign Language-Spanish, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. She received the Forest Park National Honor Society Award and the Presidential Award for Educational Excellence and two Community Scholarships.

Miss Zachman is the granddaughter of Bill and Katherine Zachman of Bath and A. Peter and Marie Kurtz of Cape Cod, Mass.
