David Mayo Tripp, 91, of Hampton, Va., died on Monday, June 24, 2013.  David was a member of the Drum and Bugle Corps.  He was a World War II Navy veteran.  After his military service, he worked and retired from the Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Company.  David like playing his harmonica and enjoyed woodworking.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Tripp; his son, David Jr. and his second wife, Margaret Tripp.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra Tripp of Greenville, NC and his son, Jack Tripp of Newport News.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Weymouth Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be private.
