Rebecca Harrell, science teacher at Columbia Middle School, presented “Fossils Rock!” at the Tyrrell County Public Library on June 26th. The participants learned the process of fossil formation, made leaf prints and searched for shark teeth and other fossils in material that was donated by the Potash Corporation. On Wednesday, July 3rd, the weekly program will be Puppetry by Katie and Company. It will be necessary to sign-up in advance for this particular program, since the children will be making puppets at the end of the presentation. It is not too late to join up for this year’s program. If you have any questions, please call the library at 796-3771.
