Ms. Gertrude Vernice Godley, of Washington, D.C., died Friday, July 12, 2013, at Residence on Greenbolt, Lanham, Md. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at the chapel of Bonner Street Funeral Home, Washington, with Chauncey Pridgeon, associate pastor of Macedonia New Hope Church in Raleigh, officiating. Burial follows in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family is receiving friends at 1166 W. Pungo St., Belhaven. Arrangements are by Bonner Street Funeral Home.
