Assisted Living Facility has positive prospects of being built in Tyrrell County

The prospect of a an assisted living facility in Tyrrell County within the next two years was announced last week.

Ken Windley, interim county administrator told the county commissioners July 16 that state regulators should complete their review of the application before the end of July and that a Meridian Senior Living executive said he is confident of a favorable report.

Architectural design could take three to four months, following site preparation being completed next spring. Then construction could take 12 months from there, putting the completion date about May 2015, Windley stated.

Meridian Senior Living LLC, operates assisted living facilities throughout the United States, serving over 5,000 age-qualified residents, the company’s website states.

Listed among its nearby facilities are Eden House in Edenton, Currituck House in Moyock, and properties with similarly localized names in Ahoskie,Williamston, and Windsor.
