Columbia prevailed over Creswell 36-32 in an Aug. 30 conference matchup played right down to the final minute.

The Wildcats rolled to a 22-0 lead in the first half with quarterback Rayvon Basnight connecting with several players through a sustained stretch.

One notable plays included a 85-yard catch and run from Basnight to Tight End Ray Collins in the second quarter to give a Columbia 16-0 lead at the 11:46 mark.

Columbia led at the half 22-6.

Creswell climbed back into the game in the third quarter with scores at 3:26 and 1:13 to pull to 22-20.

The fourth quarter saw Columbia pulling out 30-20 and then Creswell coming to 30-26 but failing to follow through on a two-point conversion.

Andre Brown batted away a pass from Creswell Quarterback Salvador Casteneda in the closing seconds to preserve the game for the Wildcats.
