William Earl Lewis, Jr., age 50, a resident of Grifton, NC, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 in Jefferson City, TN. There will be a celebration of his life at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service officiated by David Linton. Burial will follow in Warren Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM Monday, September 16, 2013 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC and other times at the home of his mother, 805 Fairlane Dr., Grifton, NC.

William was born January 30, 1963 in Beaufort County, NC, son of the late William Earl Lewis, Sr. and Betsy  Jean Harding Lewis who survives. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator with William Lewis Logging. William loved yard sales, movies, Dolly Wood Theme Park and roller coasters.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his brother, Jason Lewis of Blounts Creek, NC; his niece, Shelbey Lewis; his nephew, Josh Lewis and several special aunts and uncles.
