Funeral service for Terry Michael Leathers II, 22, of 550 West Millpond Road, Roper, will be held Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Eastern North Carolina and Virginia Assembly with Vice Bishop Daniel Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Leathers was born May 28, 1991, in Chowan County. He was the son of Terry Michael and Alfreda Norman Leathers. He was a member of Shiloh Church of Christ (DOC), a graduate of Creswell High School and a senior at Elizabeth City State University.

Survivors include his parents, Terry and Alfreda Leathers of the home; brother, Landon Leathers, Norfolk, Va.; sister, Princeton Leathers, UNC-Greensboro; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Leathers Brown, Williamston; maternal grandparents, Alvania Norman, Jimmie Norman, both of Roper.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Eastern North Carolina and Virginia Assembly in Roper and other times at the home.
