Columbia Theater Cultural Resources Center Receives $5000 Donation

    Michael Thompson (left) representing Domionim North Carolina Power and the Domionion Resources Foundation presented a $5,000 check to the Partnership for the Sounds to support operatuion  of the Columbia Theater Cultural Resources Center, last week. Partnership Executive Director Jackie Woolard, accompanied by Partnership Board members David Clegg and Rhett White, accepted the check. Clegg and White expressed appreciation for the power company gift and significant demonstarion of corporate citizenship.      The Columbia Theater Cultural Resources Center serves as a museum for Columbia and Tyrrell County with exhibits that focus on farming, fishing, hunting, logging and rural life during the last century. The theater is also a center for community programs and educational activities.      The Partnership for the Sounds operates and supports facilities in Beaufort, Hyde, Bertie and Tyrrell counties.
