Mr. Earl Franklin Marshall, Sr., age 78, a resident of Grimesland, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Vidant Hospital in Greenville.

He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Jim and Hattie Marshall. He served in the United States Marines with over 21 years of honorable service to his country.

Survivors include his friends, Lori Elks and husband Gerald of Chocowinity, beloved friend, Michael Goldberg, Wendy Bennett Norris of Elizabeth City, and Margaret Lane Russ of Greenville.

Burial will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, with full military honors.
