One man was arrested and charged with larceny; another man was arrested and charged with possession of stolen goods earlier this month, after an ATV went missing and was found again by law enforcement.

According to a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, Cameron James Warren, 20, of N.C. Highway 30, Greenville, and Nathan Patrick Grooms, 18, of Whispering Pines Road, Washington, were both arrested in relation to the larceny: Warren on charges of larceny; Grooms, on charges of felony possession of stolen goods.

“Our investigation showed that it was stolen by one and found in the possession of the other. Based on the price that it was sold for, he should have known it was stolen, thus the possession charge,” said Maj. Kenneth Watson, spokesman for the sheriff’s office. “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”

The ATV was returned to its original owner. Grooms was held on a $4,000 secured bond.
