Joseph Aubrey Wheeler, 62, a resident of Cross Creek Health Care Center in Swan Quarter, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at Cross Creek.
Born in Beaufort County, Jan. 4, 1951, he was the son of the late William Wayt and Rosa Snoddy Wheeler.  Aubrey was a member of the Swan Quarter Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Swan Quarter Baptist Church. Mike Wheeler will officiate.  Private burial will follow at Epworth United Methodist Church Cemetery at Sladesville.
Surviving are two brothers, William W. Wheeler, Jr. and Buddy Wheeler both of Manteo; five sisters, Dorothy W. Cahoon of Manteo, Marjorie W. Alexander of Grants Pass, Oregon, Evelyn W. Wise, Joyce W. Carawan and Marian W. Carawan all of Swan Quarter.
Aubrey was also preceded in death by four sisters, Doris W. Jernigan, Jean W. O’Neal, Eleanor W. Swindell and Mae W. Lupton.

The family will receive friends at the home of Joyce and Sherlin Carawan, 1259 Quarter Road, Swan Quarter.
