Mrs. Sheryl Thompson Hendrickson, age 59, a resident of 107 Demille Drive, Washington, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

 

There will be no services, per Mrs. Hendrickson’s request.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at the home of her daughter and son in law, Brooke and Justin Woolard, 328 Dan Taylor Road, Washington.

 

Mrs. Hendrickson was born in Kinston, N.C. on June 11, 1954.  She was the daughter of Lucy Mae Daniels Thompson and the late Clifton Odell Thompson Sr. Mrs. Hendrickson was a retired Registered Nurse with the Beaufort County Health Department, with 25 years of service.  She loved her job and was a compassionate nurse.  Mrs. Hendrickson was a member of the First Church of Christ in Washington.  She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.  Mrs. Hendrickson loved her kids, grandkids, dogs, and cats. In her spare time, she loved to bake.

 

On Feb. 18, 2000, she married David Allen Hendrickson, who survives.

 

Surviving with her husband are her son, Brandon Marshall and wife Dana of Greenville; her daughter, Brooke Woolard and husband Justin of Washington; her mother, Lucy Mae Daniels Thompson of Kinston; two grandchildren, Ryan Hendrickson and Austin Woolard, both of Washington; three stepchildren, Brian Hendrickson and wife Charlotte of Washington, Ashley Hendrickson and wife Marta of Washington, Derek Hendrickson of Chapel Hill; three step-grandchildren, Claire Hendrickson, Cody Hendrickson, Alex Hendrickson; two brothers, Harvey Thompson and wife Terri of Goldsboro and their children Daniel and Riley, Chuck Thompson of Kinston; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
