Esther C. Godley

Mrs. Esther C. Godley, 62, passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at her home. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Godley, daughter of the late Melvin and Alvaneal Cockman, was a native of Robbins, NC. A resident of Pitt County since 1984, she enjoyed traveling to Tennessee and yard sales. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Greenville Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her grandsons, Joshua Aaron Lee and Little Chuck Godley; brother, Buck Cockman; and a sister, Becky Cockman.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Charlie Edward “Eddie” Godley, Jr.; children, Bobby Lee, Chuck Godley and wife, Lizanne, Craig Godley and wife, Jennifer and Chad Godley and special friend, Teresa; and grandchildren, Daviann, Kylie and Anna Godley, Jessica, April and Ryan Schaefer.
