Margaret Ann Mason O’Neal, 68, of 6965 Turnpike Road, the Rose Bay Community, Swan Quarter, died Monday morning, February 17, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville.
Born, January 1, 1946, in Beaufort County, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Myrtle Lee Ormond Mason. She was married to J. P. O’Neal who preceded her in death on June 30, 2012. Margaret Ann loved to cook and was a friend to all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and sister. She found great enjoyment in volunteering at the local food bank.
Funeral services will be held at 11: 00 a.m. Wednesday in Soule United Methodist Church. Pastor Jerald Craddock will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery at Ponzer.
Surviving are a son, Brian O’Neal and wife, Jennifer of Rose Bay; a daughter, Teresa O’Neal Tuck of Rose Bay; grandchildren, Austin Spencer, Ainsleigh O’Neal, Andrew O’Neal, Chelsea Tuck and Patrick Tuck; a sister, Wanda M. Jefferson and husband, Kenny of Belhaven.
In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret Ann was preceded in death by a sister, Lou Ellen M. Gibbs and two brothers, Jarvis Lee Mason and Paul Ormond Mason.
The family will receive friends at the home, 6965 Turnpike Road on Tuesday evening,and those desiring to visit the funeral home may do so until 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
