SHARING HEARTS: Kindergarten students at Eastern Elementary School created valentines to give to residents of River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Teachers Gina Resendez and Kimberly Jacobson worked with students to write greetings and wishes on each valentine. Students also decorated the valentines with hearts, pictures and glitter. “Students enjoyed making the valentines, and it’s great for them to gain an understanding of why it’s important to participate in their community,” said Resendez.
