The Washington boys tennis team has notches three consecutive shutouts in three days, defeating Southwest Edgecombe twice in a doubleheader Tuesday and Beddingfield Thursday on the road, 9-0.

Junior Conor Wilkins continued his storybook season with a conclusive 6-0, 6-0 win over his opponent. Wilkins maintains his perfect 16-0 match record and has still yet to drop a set.

Like Wilkins, the Pam Pack’s superstar sophomore Holt McKeithan also locked up a 6-0, 6-0 victory, improving his season record to 15-1. McKeithan has dropped just four out of 24 sets in 2014.

Senior leader Luke Ainsworth continued his consistent play with a 6-1, 6-1 win. His record now stands at 12-4.

Sophomore Eric Crozier collected his 11th win by defeating his opponent 6-1, 6-0, while the young guns – freshmen Zack Pagnani and Ben McKeithan – both took care of business in two sets.

In doubles, all three Pam Pack pairs had little trouble picking up wins.

With the win, the Pam Pack keep their first-place spot in the Eastern Plains Conference and remain unbeaten with a 9-0 record.

The team will head to Greenville for an out-of-conference matchup against J.H. Rose on Tuesday.
