A COMMUNITY EFFORT: Across Beaufort County, pinwheel gardens are being planted in commemoration of National Child Abuse Prevention month. This page shows a collection of photos of the many gardens planted at childcare facilities and child welfare agencies this week, which were sent in by Lisa Woolard, executive director of Beaufort/Hyde Partnership for Children.
Here, the sign says it all: pinwheels represent a chance for a brighter future, without child abuse.

EARLY CHILDHOOD: The Beaufort County Community College campus has its own pinwheel garden in front of the Early Childhood building.
