DAVID DARE LAMM SR.

David Dare Lamm, Sr, age 85, a resident of Daytona Beach, Florida and formerly of Washington, NC died on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Florida Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Lamm was born in Beaufort County on November 23, 1928. On September 17, 1949, he married Mavis Holloman who has preceded him in death.  He devoted his life to being a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and provider for his family.

Mr. Lamm is survived by his children:  Mickey Ray Lamm, Ellen Lamm Butts, David Dare Lamm, Jr., Donnie Hugh Lamm, Sr. and Terrie Lamm Fuehrer; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive family and friends prior to the service at 1 p.m., Saturday until the funeral hour at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.

It was the wishes of Mr. Lamm that in lieu of flowers contributions in his memory be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, Florida  32256 or at www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Wounded Warriors was very dear to his heart and he contributed to this cause monthly.
