Portious

Say hi to Portious, our three-year-old, German Shorthaired Pointer-Labrador Retriever-mix. This handsome lad is a trim 48 pounds, with a smooth black and white spotted coat. Portious is fully vetted, neutered with an adoption fee of $15,  and ready to go home today. He’s a little on the shy side but is smart and friendly with people. Surrendered by his owner because he kept going after their chickens, this dog would be best in a home with no cats, fowl or rabbits. The former owner said that he did get along with their smaller dog, and the neighbor’s large dog. Portious is trained to use an invisible/underground fence and he is available through Saturday at the shelter.

Pretty

Not only “Pretty,” but oh, so very sweet. Meet Pretty, our “Cat of the Week,” a one-year-old, ebony black and pristine white bi-color, female, domestic short hair. Pretty is a charming and gentle girl who loves people. She has a little rosebud nose and enormous, mesmerizing, golden-hazel eyes. She purrs with delight when held, hugged and cuddled. She also enjoys being next to her human companions, getting brushed or stroked. Pretty is a delightful cat that deserves a forever, loving home.

Pretty is available through Saturday at the shelter.
