MARCH: Ahoy mates, calling all ye aspiring pirates! Report for duty downtown Belhaven on May 17 at high noon for the Pirates on the Pungo Pirate March at Wynne’s Gut Town Docks. All lads and lasses, young and old, are welcome to sign up for duty. Pirate costumes are required. Participants will march together and seize the town hall, kidnap the mayor and lead him to the pirate camp. There will be judges determining best pirate costume and free hotdogs and drinks will be provided at the end of the march.
