Mr. Alfred Brown, 74, a resident of 706 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington, formerly of Aurora, died Thursday, May 1, 2014. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Reids Chapel Church Ministries, Aurora. Visitation will be held Friday, May 9, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Whitfield and Whitley Chapel. The family will receive friends at the homes of Ella Perry, 256 Old Mill Road, Chocowinity, and Thomas and Geraldine Brown, 284 Middle Road, Aurora. Arrangements are by Whitfield and Whitley Funeral Home.
