TERAH ARCHIE | CONTRIBUTED PLAYING ABROAD: Tom and Bet Archie of Washington joined their grandson William Archie and twenty-three other Arendell Parrott Academy students, parents and chaperones on a theatre tour in London, England in April. The trip was organized by Parrott Academy's Thespian Society in coordination with Burning Coal Theatre Company of Durham. The tour featured six plays in six days including “Matilda” at the Cambridge Theatre; “Sunny Afternoon” at the Hampstead Theatre, “Henry IV Part I” at the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon; “Hamlet” in the Globe Theatre; “Blithe Spirit” with Dame Angela Lansbury in the John Gielgud Theatre” and “Home” at the National Theatre. The students participated in a workshop at the Globe Theatre and enjoyed a question and answer session with the cast of “Home.” Other highlights of the trip included excursions to Stonehenge, Westminster Abbey, Covent Gardens, the British Museum and a boat tour on the Thames River.
