Beaufort County Pantego Community Center received a grant from the Vidant Health Fund in the amount of $10,000 to assist in continuing our program “Growing A Fit Community.” This program serves the seniors and veterans of Beaufort, Hyde and Washington counties. Because of the grant that we received from Vidant last year, we applied for and received a $7,500.00 from Resourceful Communities to extend our current program by adding a “Growing A Fit Community Garden” where participants may receive fresh produce year round. We appreciate Vidant Health foundation for supporting us in our effects to “Grow a Fit Community.”
