JOYCE ANN MEEKINS

Feb. 28, 1936 – July 28, 2014

Mrs. Joyce Ann Meekins, age 78, a resident of 106 Fairview Lane, Richlands, and a former resident of Beaufort County, died Monday, July 28, 2014.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, August 1, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven and will be conducted by her nephew, Rev. Walter Taylor. Burial will follow in the Ryder Hill Cemetery in the Pamlico Beach community.

Mrs. Meekins was born on February 28, 1936 to the late Norwood Ellis and Dorothy Grey Tetterton. She married John Meekins, Jr. who preceded her in death. She was formerly employed with O’Neals Drug Store and was a member of Lifegate Baptist Church.

Survivors include two brothers, Norwood Tetterton III of Tennesse, Ronald Tetterton of Belhaven; three sisters, Virginia Jarvis of Belhaven, Marie Humphrey of Richlands and Peggy Best of Belhaven. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Norwood Tetterton, II, Donald Tetterton, Lesley Tetterton, Sr., and two sisters, Doris Taylor and Frances Daly.
