BEAUFORT COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE | CONTRIBUTED A GOOD APPLE: Mike Waters, computer support specialist at Beaufort County Community College, is the recipient of the BCCC Staff Association's first Golden Apple Award for the 2014-15 Academic Year. Each month, a staff member is presented with the award by the winner of the award for the previous month. The recipient is presented with a papier mâché golden apple, which is passed along to the next month's recipient, and a plaque, which the recipient can keep and display. Basic Skills Assessment and Retention Specialist Penelope Radcliffe, the July award recipient, presented the Golden Apple Award for August to Waters. Waters' plaque, written by Radcliffe, reads, "Mike is very deserving of this award. His dedication to help with computer problems whenever needed is appreciated by all but often unspoken. He brings computer knowledge and a positive attitude and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure we are 'up and running'."
