Trespassing call leads to felons’ arrests

On Sept. 11, deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office responded to a trespassing call on N.C. Highway 32 North in Pinetown. When deputies arrived at the residence, they found two subjects sitting in a car in the backyard. After speaking with the subjects, deputies performed a search of the vehicle and found a 12-gauge shotgun in the trunk of the car. Two additional subjects that had been riding in the car where located in a wooded area nearby.
Deputies interviewed the subjects and learned that all four were convicted felons. As a result of the investigation, Cpl. Nathan Drake arrested David Forrest Walker, 25, of N.C. Highway 17 North in Ernul, and Terry Shawn Davis, 35, of Plymouth Drive in New Bern. Walker and Davis were transported to the magistrates’ office and charged with possession of a firearm by felon. They were held in the Beaufort County Detention Center under $25,000 secured bonds.
