RIBBON CUTTING: The Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Ruth’s House Antiques and More located at 228 W. Main St. in Washington. The shop raises funds to help support Ruth’s House, a safe place for victims of domestic violence. Donations of antiques, and more are welcomed and all donations are tax deductible. This is a volunteer-based organization, including all sales people working in the shop. To learn more about Ruth’s House, or to make a donation, call 252-975-6307. The shop is now open on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
