RAMONA HARDISON INGALLS

May 22, 1929 – Oct. 13, 2014

 

Mrs. Ramona Hardison Ingalls, 85, of 841 Old Blounts Creek Road, Chocowinity, NC died Monday morning, October 13, 2014, at her home.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday October 16, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Rev. Henry Horne and Rev. Roger Tripp.  Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends 1:00 PM until the funeral hour on Thursday October 16, 2014 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home of Mrs. Ingalls’ son: Barry Ingalls, 792 Old Blounts Creek Road, Chocowinity.

Mrs. Ingalls was born in Beaufort County on May 22, 1929, daughter of the late Ernest Hertford Hardison, Sr. and the late Alla Nobles Hardison.  She attended Chocowinity High School and later married L.J. Ingalls who preceded her in death on March 18, 2006.  Mrs. Ingalls and her husband were tobacco farmers in Beaufort County for over thirty-five years.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading.  She was a faithful member of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.  Her faith was strong and her greatest goal in life was that all of her family would come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  Through her Christian example, she was successful.

Survivors include two sons: Barry Ingalls and his wife Linda of Chocowinity and Terry Ingalls and his wife Esther of Robersonville; six grandchildren: Shellie Ingalls, Brett Ingalls, Hollie Jones, Jana Hall, Jackson Ingalls and Kristin Ingalls and three great-grandchildren: Hannah Jones, Nathan Cutler and Ensley Ingalls.  Mrs. Ingalls was preceded in death by her husband L.J. Ingalls; a son: Garry J. Ingalls; a daughter: Ninette Ingalls and three brothers: John T. Hardison, Ernest Hertford Hardison and Herbert Hillary Hardison.
