The Saturday Night Jamboree was held recently at the Redmen’s Lodge in Washington. Registrar Carolyn Jefferson signed in 135 clients, assisted by Tillie Braddy and Joyce Carawan. Jamboree President Marlene Sprouse led activities and Martha Seighman and Joyce Carawan helped in celebrating November birthdays. DJ for the evening was Redman Kenneth Beacham. Following a blessing offered by Joseph Cowon, members of the Tasha Smith Scholarship Foundation and the Head Hunterz MC, Inc. served refreshments, from soup to chips. Members of the Scholarship Foundation include Mary Jane Rodgers, Louise Brown, Alice Rodgers, Dedre Woolard, Loraine Norfleet, Melvin Smith, Linda Rodgers, Queracus Rodgers, Otis Smith, Angela Boston, Flossie Smith, Yvonne Constance, Elder Greg Boston and children Mi’ nya Green, Moriah Mavin, Quanaisha Rodgers, Dekiya Woolard, Dehiyai Woolard, Latresure Woolard and Brinaisia Little. Members of the Head Hunterz MC Inc include Cartrell Brown, Nina Rodgers, Tony Brady, Dervin Brown, Vonya Brown, Gail Reddick, Marcus Woolard and Travis Wiggins. The next Jamboree will be the annual Christmas party from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Dec. 6, the first Saturday in December.
