Beaufort County Sheriff Ernie Coleman has announced that all sworn personnel will wear mourning bands over their badges until Thursday, January 1st 2015, to honor the two New York Police Department officers that were shot and killed on December 20th, 2014. The Sheriff’s Office also acknowledges and honors the other 112 law enforcement officers that have lost their lives, as of this date, in 2014.

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office would like to express our appreciation for all of the support and kind words that we have recently received, whether in writing or in person. We will continue our mission to provide world-class law enforcement services to our citizens.
