P.S. JONES MIDDLE SCHOOL | CONTRIBUTED GETTING INVOLVED: The P. S. Jones Middle School Builders’ Club is an organization dedicated to creating leadership skills in students while exposing them to opportunities to get involved in community service activities. It has had an active start to the 2014-2015 school year. Its most recent community service was to work with the Beaufort County Department of Social Services in providing Christmas gifts to their clients in the Adult Protective Services division. Its members, along with some of the PSJ staff, chose a name, bought the requested item and wrapped the gifts. Maureen Davis, Beaufort County DSS Social Worker, coordinated the opportunity with the club and picked up the gifts to deliver to the individuals. The club is pleased to have played a small part in making the holidays merrier for this group of people. It is also proud of being a club sponsored by the Washington Kiwanis.
