The Down East Seniors Club held its Jan. 7 meeting at the Blind Center of North Carolina in Washington. President Stewart Rumley led the meeting. Ed Sample led the singing of “God Bless America” and gave the invocation. Dick Paul provided humor.

Program Chairman Bill Cheshire announced that his speaker was unable to attend. President Rumley called on several members to tell what they did during the Christmas season. A number of them traveled during Christmas. Some also told of their experiences with fraudulent charges being placed on their credit cards.

Stewart Rumley won the 50/50 drawing.
