MARY MANNING BURROUGHS

Mary Manning Burroughs, a resident of Huntsville, AL, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015.

Funeral services were held 11:00 AM Friday, January 23, 2015 at Valhalla Funeral Home, Huntsville, AL.

Mrs. Burroughs was born in Pitt County on December 8, 1931 to the late Oscar and Helen Beatrice Manning.  She lived in Washington, NC, attended Old Ford and Washington High Schools.  She attended Secretarial School in Huntsville, AL and was a Civilian Employee at the Redstone Arsenal and was a member of Farley Church of Christ in Huntsville, AL.

Survivors include two sons, Rick Burroughs and wife Beth of Marion, Indiana, Don Burroughs and wife Debra of Lakeland, Florida; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two brothers, Carlton Manning and wife Ruby, Ervin Manning and wife Bertie and one sister, Amanda Gail Manning all of Washington, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carter Eugene Burroughs; two brothers, Walter Allen Manning and Bobby Cotton Manning; two half-brothers, Oscar Brown Manning and Braxton Manning; three half-sisters, Icelene Manning Williams, Helen Manning Asby and Josephine Manning Aranda.
