On Dec. 16, 2014, we at Suburban Propane officially — and excitedly — joined the Washington community. We’re assuming the propane operations of F. Ray Moore Oil Company, Inc., a reliable, family-owned company with deep roots here, and it’s a responsibility we take very seriously. To that end, we’d like to explain what everyone should expect from us.

With this kind of acquisition, it is fair to ask, “What’s going to change?” Our answer: nothing will change except for the sign out front and the logo on our propane delivery trucks and uniforms.

Suburban Propane is staying right here in Washington. In fact, the new local office is at 613 Grimes Road, just a mile down from F. Ray Moore’s location. We have hired and retained all F. Ray Moore Propane employees, so customers can expect the same friendly faces, long-standing relationships, and reliable service when the time comes for a tank refill.

Indeed, Suburban Propane’s number one priority is our customers’ comfort and satisfaction, and in this community, we’re acting on that commitment immediately. The dependable service and familiar pricing programs customers came to expect from F. Ray Moore will remain in practice under our watch. We’re working tirelessly to ensure a seamless transition that does not disrupt what has worked best for our customers, their families, and their budgets over the years.

In doing so, we also provide a new array of options designed to enhance our customers’ experience if they so choose. Suburban Propane’s commitment to 24/7/365 service is no different in Washington. If something’s not working properly or if there is a need for additional service, customers have access to our around-the-clock call center and can count on speedy, in-person attention from a safety trained professional no matter the day or time. To make life even easier, we also offer budget payment plans, automatic online bill pay, and automatic delivery options.
