Sarah H. Rowe

May 22, 1925 – Feb. 26, 2015

 

Mrs. Sarah Adelaide Hollowell Rowe, age 89, a former resident of Aurora, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 26, 2015.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Aurora United Methodist Church in Aurora and will be conducted by Pastor Betty Jo Rodgers. Burial will follow at White Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Rowe was born in Beaufort County on May 22, 1925. She was the daughter of the late John Hollowell and Nora Paul Hollowell. She was married to Ira Mayhue Rowe who preceded her in death in 1998.

Mrs. Rowe is survived by her son, Ira M. Rowe, Jr. and his wife Linda of Grifton; a daughter, Jacqueline Rowe Harris and husband Junnie of Greenville; five grandchildren, Chris Rowe and wife Heather, Michael Peed, Jr. and wife Paige, Kimberly Rowe and husband Travis, Jodi Dail and husband Brandon, and Justin Peed and wife Haley; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rowe was preceded in death by a brother, Till Paul Hollowell and a sister, Eula Gray Messick.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 10:45am Wednesday March 4, 2015 at the Aurora United Methodist Church with services following.
