Mrs. Karen Renee Penrod, 51, of  3242 Newcastle Drive, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Adnah United Methodist Church with Pastor David McManus officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in San Pedro, CA, Karen was the daughter of  Robert Bruce and Diane Adams Noyes of Avon Park Fl.  A homemaker and member of Adnah UMC, she was an avid member and supporter of The Animal Adoption League, The Bunco Club and Project Safe Pet.  She was a 1982 graduate of Waukegan High Schooland graduated from Illinois State University in 1986 with a B. Karen was always very kind and caring towards everyone that she met and animals as well.  One way she demonstrated this was by rescuing countless stray animals over the years.   She maintained a constant faith in God during her battle with cancer and continued to do so with courage and commitment, even in her final days.  She is sorely missed by family and friends.  We are certain that God will treat her with loving care in the same way that she has treated others.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Jeffrey Meade Penrod, of the home;  her daughter, Miss Michelle Ann Penrod, of the home;  two brothers, Jeff Noyes, of Norfolk, VA and Robert Noyes, of Jacksonville, FL;  two sisters, Angela Noyes, of Lakeland, FL and Renee Noyes, of Frost Proof, FL;  three nieces; four nephews;  and one great-niece.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
