Stone William Robert Prechtl, age 16, a resident of 1684 Carrow Road, Chocowinity, died Sunday, March 15, 2015 as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident.
A celebration of his life will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Wayside Presbyterian Church, Hwy 33 West, Chocowinity, conducted by Pastor Ola Forbes. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
Stone was born in Beaufort County on December 30, 1998. He was the son of Elvis Prechtl and Adrienne Lloyd Heffington. Stone was in the 10th grade at Southside High School. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop #99. Stone enjoyed weight lifting, cooking, music, hunting, motocross, doing origami and collecting dream catchers. He was a talented painter that could draw portraits. “Stone was an awesome big brother who looked out for his little sister.”
Stone is survived by his grandparents and guardians, William and Alice Reed of the home; his mother, Adrienne Lloyd Heffington and her husband, Joseph of Jacksonville, N.C.; his father, Elvis Prechtl of Florida; two sisters, Crystal Oden of Wilmington and Reannon Prechtl of the home; grandfather, John Prechtl of Fayetteville; uncle and aunt, Leo and Kelly McCollum of Chocowinity; three great aunts, Josephine Piver of Beaufort, Dorothy Buck of Newport, Shirley Simerson of Jacksonville; and one great uncle, Thomas Hansley of Beaufort.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington and other times at the home.
