Mr. John Tracy Trigg, Jr., age 94, a resident of 308 N. Eden Dr., Washington, NC died Tuesday April 7, 2015 at Roanoke Landing Nursing Center of Plymouth.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 9, 2015 at First Christian Church, 201 Blue Ridge Rd., Black Mountain, NC and will be conducted by Rev. Rex Horne. Inurnment will follow in the Christmount Christian Assembly Columbarium, 222 Fern Way, Black Mountain, NC.

Mr. Trigg was born in Henderson County, Kentucky to the late John and Sammie Powell Trigg. He was a 1939 graduate of Flemingsburg High School in Kentucky and a proud graduate from the University of Kentucky. On October 8, 2005 he married Eleanor Linnea Oakley who survives. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, First Christian Church of Washington, former member of Eastway Christian Church and First Christian Church of Charlotte. Mr. Trigg was the former owner of a children’s toy store, The Playhouse in Charlotte, Tracy’s RV’s of Charlotte and Fort Mill, SC. He also served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Eleanor O. Trigg of the home, one daughter, Joyce Winburn and husband Victor of Hickory, six sons, John Trigg III of Fort Mill, SC, Joe Trigg and wife Evelyn of Black Mountain, Robert Trigg and wife Hope of Tega Cay, SC, Philip Trigg and wife Karen of Johnson City, TN, George Trigg and wife Laurin of Midway, William Trigg of Charlotte; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Saunders Trigg, two sisters, Josephine Langston, Jenny Mae Kuster and one brother, Robert Trigg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christmount Christian Assembly, 222 Fern Way, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
