Margie P. “Marge” Willis, age 80, a resident of Chocowinity, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015, in Atlanta, Ga. Mrs. Willis was born in Beaufort County on May 21, 1934, to the late Edward and Donnie Harris Pryor. She attended Beaufort County Schools in Chocowinity and LSU in Baton Rouge, La. She was retired from Bell South of Jacksonville, Fla., and later worked as manager at The Purser’s Chest Interiors in Washington for several years. She also had a sewing room at the Little Shoppes of Washington. On April 21, 1984, she married Morgan W. Tuck, who survives. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed sewing and other crafts immensely in her spare time.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by the following: her children, Harry Jack Stokes (Karen), of Friendswood, Texas, and Edward Thomas Willis (Benita), of Dallas, Ga.; and her two sisters, Mennie Parrish and Melber Baker, both of Chocowinity. Her surviving grandchildren are Nicole Griffith (Zak), of Kennesaw, Ga.; Ben Willis, of Cartersville, Ga.; Wesley Hall, of Dallas, Ga.; Courtney Garner (Bobby), of Madison, Miss.; Adam Stokes (Sarah), and Brandon Stokes, both of Raleigh; and Tiffany Stokes Serpe (Mike), of Edmonton, Canada. She has one surviving great-grandchild, Gigi Stokes. Other survivors include her dogs, Caroline and Jackie.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Greta “Bunny” Stokes, her sister, Margaret Pryor Clark Dixon, and her brother, Tommy Pryor.

A celebration of her life will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Chocowinity, officiated by Rev. Joseph Malcolm (Sonny) Browne III. Interment will follow the service in the prayer garden. A reception will be held in the Parish Hall following the burial for family and friends.
