HENRY “TRAVIS” SULLIVAN
May 19, 1938 – June 14, 2015
Mr. Henry Travis Sullivan, age 77, a resident of 8512 Hwy 32 N, Washington, went home to be with the Lord Sunday June 14, 2015 surrounded by his family.
A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Thursday June 18, 2015 at Beaver Dam Church of Christ and will be officiated by Tony Krantz. The family will receive friends at the home.
Richard Alligood, Micheal Alligood, Stephen Sullivan II, Jonah Bryant, Ethan Bryant, Butch Cutler, and Macon Sullivan will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Sullivan was born in Beaufort County on May 19, 1938 to the late Lee Fisher Sullivan and Nola Mae Pippin. He attended Bath High School. On May 30, 1959 he married Dorothy Ann Morgan. Mr. Sullivan loved sports, NASCAR and was an avid fisherman. One team above all was the Tar Heels. He served for many years as a Volunteer Fireman with Bunyan Fire Department and served in several officers positions. He was the owner of Sullivan’s Front End & Alignment Service. Mr. Sullivan was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ and served as a deacon.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy M. Sullivan, four children, Cynthia “Cindy” Alligood and husband Alan of Mt. Olive, Stephen Allan Sullivan, Susan Moss and husband John all of Washington, Julie Sullivan Bryant and husband Arron of Virginia, nine grandchildren, Andrea Morgan Sutton and husband Matt, Richard Lane Alligood and wife Alliyson, Micheal Edward Alligood, Stephen Allan Sullivan II, Amanda Nicole Albanese, Emily Paige Albanese, Sarah Allison Moss, Jonah Arron Bryant, Ethan Edward Bryant, four great grandchildren, one brother, Ward Macon Sullivan and wife Cathy of Chocowinity, one sister, Etta Lea Perdock of Key West, FL, one special aunt Grace Sullivan Kendall, many nieces and nephews and many special friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Sullivan is preceded in death by a brother Leo Thomas Sullivan.
