Two people were shot and killed shortly after midnight Saturday in what police believe was a murder-suicide.

Police responded to the scene at the 300 block of East 13^th Street in Washington to find Blondell Green, 57, deceased. While searching the premises, police also discovered the body of suspect Jaquay Omestic Bernard Hill, 25, of Van Norden Street, according to a press release from William Chrismon, spokesman for the Washington Police Department.

The 911 call came in as a report of shots fired at the address. The weapon found at the scene was a shotgun, according to Stacy Drakeford, Washington Police and Fire Services director.

Police had been called out to the same address earlier Friday for what could be an unrelated incident, but police are still investigating, Drakeford said.

Chrismon said in the press release that more information will be released as the investigation continues.
