Roger Dale Barber, Jr.
April 10, 1977 – July 27, 2015

Roger Dale Barber, Jr., age 38, a resident of 340 Teachs Trace Lane, Bath, died Monday, July 27, 2015.

A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at St. Clair’s Church of Christ, officiated by Craig Hagen. The family will receive friends after the service at their home.

Mr. Barber was born on April 10, 1977 in Craven County, the son of Roger Dale Barber, Sr. and Nellie Barber. Roger was the owner of Barber’s Fish Farm. He married Stephanie Taylor on October 30, 1999. Mr. Barber attended St. Clair’s Church of Christ and was a member of the Jackson Swamp Hunting Club. He enjoyed baseball, hunting, fishing, playing golf and spending time with his family and many friends. He had a very kind heart and was known for his big smile. Roger’s love for his family and especially his two girls, Hope and Layna, were his greatest treasures in life.

Roger is survived by his wife, Stephanie Barber of Bath; two daughters, Hope and Layna Barber of Bath; father, Roger Dale Barber, Sr. and wife Wanda Barber of Aurora; mother, Nellie Barber of Reelsboro, NC;  a sister, Angela McNinch; two nephews, Barry Dale McNinch and Dylan Ward and niece, Avery McNinch.
