National Night Out is a nationwide campaign, which strives to better the relationship between the community and law enforcement officials. The overall goal is to promote safer communities and bring people in contact with law enforcement in positive situations. Washington’s event featured a variety of activities, including a block party at Beebe Memorial Park, a free-style calisthenics demonstration and a hot wings eating contest.
