Ronny Dale Schmidt, 30, of Lincoln, Nebraska died August 19, 2015.

Born in Portsmouth, VA, he was the son of Randy Lee Schmidt of the Gull Rock community and Diane Schmidt of Chesapeake, VA.

Ronny was an avid bike rider and an extreme animal lover who loved his cats.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Gull Rock Bethany Church. Inurnment will follow at the family plot in the Brooks Family Cemetery.

The family will gather with friends following the service.

In addition to his father and mother, surviving is a brother, Randy Lee Schmidt Jr. of Chesapeake, VA; a sister, Tabitha Lynn Schmidt of Chesapeake, VA; and his godmother and guardian, Katherine Mildred Gibbs of Gull Rock.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
