BE A GIFT: Rotary District Governor Bob Pippen presents a “Be a Gift to the World” banner to Belhaven-Pantego Rotary Club President Misa Raynor at a recent meeting.

The Belhaven–Pantego Rotary Club met on Sept. 2 at the Fish Hooks Café. Club President Misa Raynor welcomed District Governor Bob Pippen and his wife Charlene Pippen from Elizabeth City and Assistant Governor Spencer Stanley from the Washington (noon) Rotary Club. Following the Pledge of Allegiance, Jim Lupton blessed the upcoming meal. After the meal, Governor Pippen spoke about the upcoming events, Rotary Leadership Institute and Carolinas President Elects Training. Governor Pippen presented Club President Misa Raynor with a “Be a Gift to the World” Club banner. He also spoke about the Rotary District grants that are providing help both here and around the world and about the expanded dental clinic expansion that was funded by the Rotary International Grant. He went on the say that he would be visiting clubs and encouraging them to get at least one new member.
