To the Editor:

County commissioner Ron Buzzeo has shown his dedication to Beaufort County on numerous occasions but most recently for his diligence in reviewing the contract covering millions of dollars for the Beaufort hospital, which was controlled by the hospital committee. Mr. Buzzeo came to realize this money would become available to the hospital committee on Sept. 1, 2016, and that committee could use it for anything they wanted or desired and it would no longer be committed to be used only for the Beaufort hospital needs or any pressing Beaufort County needs for that matter. You need only to use your imagination to realize how this money could have been used by this committee. Fortunately for Beaufort County, Commissioner Buzzeo caught this loop hole and along with other commissioners is working hard to correct this situation and keep the money available only for Beaufort County needs.
