Ronald Arthur Blount, 71, of 112 Slatestone Road, Washington, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at Life Care Hospital in Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015, at the Metropolitan AME Zion Church in Washington. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington. Arrangements are by New Beginnings Funeral Home and Cremation of Washington. Viewing at the funeral home will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home.
