Bette Jo Shaw Pressey, 80, of Roper died Thursday, September 24, 2015 at her residence in Roper.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Zion’s Chapel Church of Christ, Roper with Mark Wilmoth officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Zion’s Chapel Church of Christ and other times at the residence.  Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the ALS Association Jim “Catfish” Hunter Chapter, 4 North Blount Street, Suite 200, Raleigh, N.C. 27601 or church or charity of choice.
